PRODUCT INFO
The Inspector II is small, light, durable and works on all windows. It features auto calibration and Laser Labs, Inc proven accuracy.
Laser Labs, Inc tint meters use a light at 550nm to measure total light transmittance. The optical detector has a photopic response that closely matches that of the human eye
The measurement reads out a value between 0% (opaque material such as cardboard) and 100% (pure air). The Inspector II is accurate to within plus or minus 2% and is not affected by humidity or stray light. They are reliable from -18 to 38 C, day or night.
The Inspector II tint meter is designed and assembled in the USA and comes with two NIST traceable reference samples. The lighter sample is high transmittance (65% to 89%), and the darker is low transmittance (20% to 35%).
Laser Tech UK can also supply British Standards Institute (BSI UK) certified reference samples. (Please enquire for further information).
The Inspector II runs on two CR2032 3V coin cell batteries (included) which are good for 4000 uses and have a ten years’ shelf like. Replacement batteries can be purchased at your local hardware, convenience or online store and are easily changeable.
OVERVIEW
Tint meters measure the amount of visible light transmitted through glass, VLT. The measurement range goes from 100%, which is just air, to 0% which is totally black.
The Inspector II is a small, lightweight (90g) very useful tint meter. It can measure tint levels on any vehicle window at any time of day or night. Make sure to activate the meters BEFORE placing them around the windows to avoid misreading.
The Inspector II works on all windows. Holding both sides together, turn them on. Then put the back meter onto the inside of the window, either holding it in place or using the suction cup. Put the front meter on the outside of the window over the back meter, and it displays the light transmittance value.
Tint Meter Maintenance
The Tint Meter does not require any user maintenance other than an occasional battery change. Lithium button cells powering the Tint Meters have a 10 year shelf life. The Inspector II automatically powers down after a few minutes if you forget to turn it off.
